The Wisdom of Henry #23

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making pizza, and garlic bread, and maybe a fruit salad for dessert with a dollop of cream and possibly some shaved chocolate on top.

Actually life is what happens to you in between birth and death, but that doesn't sound nearly as good.

Well I'm either crazy or a computer geek sadly at work during the holidays when all other engineers are on vacation because all engineers know that there are no releases or Bug Moratoriums during the holidays....hmm
Anyway - call me T or crazy because I just read the complete story of Henry and I must say what comes to mind is Thanks for all the Fish - uncanny resemblance in writing style - I'm a huge fan! Which then reminds me that I will be the "answer to everything" (numerically anyway) in a week or so and I think I'll celebrate with many large pizza's, some ok tea, lots of eggs and a lay or two if I'm lucky.
Really I did read the whole thing in the correct order - Bravo!

Was that a reference to the "Flying Spaghetti Monster"? - FSMism rules.

I'll look for a response to this in February :)

I also am a Douglas Adams fan. I used to like writing stuff that sounded like him, a long time ago - we learn by copying our betters, after all. Now I hope my style is somewhat different to his, but am too lazy to make any real effort :)

I'm only vaguely familiar with the FSM - you religious people are strange and uncanny to me, particularly followers of the spagetti monster, and that giant lobster cult.

Sorry to hear about the whole work thing. Today is about the last day I'll be at the computer more than half an hour at a time (for a week or two at least), so you get a response before february after all.

This is possibly my most incoherent comment ever, but once again I'm too lazy to fix it.

A geek always double checks his/her work - so I double checked and found that February came early, what a nice surprise, thank god (no pun intended after you read the last paragraph) it doesn't snow in California.

That's what I get for being a female engineer - hampster wheel thinking. Females have a rare and unique ability to think things out at a pace unfathomable to males which envitably leads to misunderstanding - in laymens terms I meant I was a fan of your writing not just Adams :)

Also - FSM cannot be put in the same category with religious fanatics - we're as opposite as an opposing description can be. A guy writes a letter to a school board protesting the "intelligent design" theory being taught in science class - little did he know he would start a revolution! Its all here and very humorous if you're interested: http://www.venganza.org/.

Laziness is a form of confidence - don't be so hard on yourself, that wasn't bad for a half hour at the computer :)

Oh, I see. Well, as you have said, I am slow.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the misadventures of Henry, and since you put it so nicely I will offer this warning - sometime between the 5th and 10th of Jan there is an episode that becomes slightly (meaning completely) pornographic, but not necessarily in a good way. This is an abberation, and will not likely be repeated. The episode exists because a) I wanted to see if I could do it, and b) I wanted to show that I am nothing like Douglas Adams :)

Actually there is a possibility I might chicken out and not even post that one.

"FSM cannot be put in the same category with religious fanatics" I know - was just teasing a bit.

"Laziness is a form of confidence" In that case I am extremely confident.

Lorraine: Huh?

exactly what I say when you go techie on me :)

Will the porno post involve Ms. Bees Knees? or will you get too confidante? I mean confident?

Best wishes for 2006 ;)
